When Colouring your Natural Hair or Extensions

This is a common question we get asked a lot. Can I colour my hair extensions? The answer to this is, Yes! You can colour your hair extensions, however we always advise our clients that even with your natural hair when applying any chemical to it, it is never recommended, especially when going from a dark hair colour to a light colour (such as blonde). That being said, this is why we offer a collection of ombre and already coloured hair extensions that are 100% Remy Human Hair to still give you the look that you desire without bleaching or damaging your natural hair and the extensions. Below are a list of guidelines we ask of our clients if they do decide to colour their Hair Extensions:

  • Colour a lighter set of hair extensions to a darker rather than a dark to a light

  • Always have your hair coloured by a professional hair stylist

  • Don't bleach or add any chemicals to your extensions

If you plan on colouring your natural hair (full head), it is always advised to have your hair coloured BEFORE installing your hair extensions. This will allow the hair extension specialist to do a proper colour match.

Colouring your roots: this however can be done either BEFORE or AFTER your hair extensions have been installed.

*Reminder: Colouring/bleaching or adding any chemicals to your hair extensions may alter the structure of the hair, resulting in a lowered lifespan (which is the same for your natural hair anyway). even with 100% Remy Hair.
